BBA (Business Analytics)

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)- Business Analytics offered by the CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Lavasa equips young minds with a positive attitude for excellent performance and committed service. It provides the right nurturing ground to enable students to pursue their entrepreneurial ambitions as well as perform managerial roles as a Business Consultant and Analyst in a wide range of industries. The curriculum for the three-year program has been designed to enable students to get an overview of various aspects related to launching and managing a business effectively . With the specialization in Business Analytics, it also provide them skill sets to analyze large amount of data and gauge meaningful insights for decision making.

Students will acquire the skills and knowledge to meet the challenges of a changing business environment, develop the ability to critically analyse emerging business issues, and develop insights from huge amount of business data. The degree comprises core courses like Entrepreneurial Development, Organization Behaviour embedded with courses like Introduction to Business Analytics, Data Visualisation softwares, Basics of R programming. The discipline specific mandatory courses include Applied Excel, Business Intelligence, Data Mining etc. which are geared towards analysis of business data. Inter-disciplinary open electives, skill enhancement certificate programs certified by Moody’s Analytics, projects and internships are certain other unique aspects of this program. The program aims to develop the student’s independent thinking, decision-making capability and research aptitude.

Candidates falling under any of the below mentioned categories must apply under the International Student Category:

  1. Foreign citizens,
  2. PIO card holders and
  3. OCI (Dual Citizens)

International students coming from Non-English speaking countries should:

  • produce evidence of passing the qualifying examination in English medium or
  • have IELTS 6.0 with no sub-score below 5.5 or TOEFL (paper) 550, TOEFL (computer) of 213 or TOEFL (IBT) of 79 scores

Candidates without the above pre-qualifications will have to enroll either for

  • Intensive Certificate course in English Language (Full Time) conducted from March to May each year or
  • One Semester Certificate course in English Language (Part Time) conducted after regular class hours from June to December.

Note: The International Student category fee structure is binding for the full duration of the programme and cannot be transferred /changed in between.

Candidates from the above listed categories having pursued Indian Educational qualification and who may have applied under the Indian States Category will have to pay the International Student Category Fee. The decision of the Admission committee is final.

Candidates seeking admission through International Student category (Foreign Nationals/PIO/OCI) will have a separate application process, with the following options to apply for any programme at CHRIST (Deemed to be University).

  • Direct mode Application
  • Online Application form




Students who fall under any of the following classifications, at the time of application may apply under NRI Student category and be liable to pay the fees applicable to the category for the entire duration of the course.

  1. NRI defined under the Indian Income Tax Law
  2. Either of the parents is outside India (except Nepal) on Work Permit / Resident Permit.
  3. Indian citizen financed by any Institution /  agency outside India, even if parents are Residents of India.
  4. Indian Citizen who has pursued studies for qualifying examination in any foreign / Indian syllabus outside India.
  5. Indian citizen pursued studies for qualifying examination in foreign syllabi in India.

Note: If only condition 5 is satisfied, and not conditions 1 to 4 above,NRI student category fee will be applicable only for the first year.


Candidates will be intimated about the Selection status (Selected / Wait Listed / Not Selected) through the “Application Status” link on the University website. The Selection results will be declared as mentioned in the important dates link.

Note: Candidates must note that if selected, admission is provisional and subject to University rules.

Details on how to process admission will be available on Offer of Admission through ‘Application Status’ link on the University website.

Candidates are required to choose the preferred date and time from available options to facilitate smooth admission process.

As per UGC guidelines, fee payment has to be made through online mode. Payment options and details will be provided to selected candidates through ‘Offer of Admission’ on ‘Application status’ on the University website. Fees for first year including Admission Registration fee must be paid in full as part of the admission process.

Admission will not be processed without the presence of the candidate and the mandatory ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS and one set of photocopies mentioned below;

  1. Class 10 Marks Statement (Mandatory).
  2. Class 12 Marks Statement, if candidate has appeared and passed the examination (Mandatory).
  3. Transfer Certificate (TC) of Class 12 from the last qualified institution (Mandatory).
  4. Migration Certificate of Class 12 (applicable for all candidates except Maharashtra state board applicants) (Mandatory).
  5. One Stamp size and One passport size photograph formal dress with white background (Mandatory).  
  6. Two Copies of the Online Payment Receipt (Mandatory).
  7. Copy of valid ID proof (Aadhar Card / Aadhar Enrolment Receipt).
  8. Candidates falling under any of these categories (NRI / PIO / OCI / SAARC / AFRICA / ASEAN / OTHER FOREIGN NATIONALS) have to submit:
  • Copy of Passport and Visa Details (Mandatory).
  • PIO / OCI have to produce the copy of PIO / OCI card whichever is applicable (Mandatory).      
  • Medical Fitness Certificate (MFC) from any recognized medical practitioner certified by the Medical Council of India and
  • Resident Permit (RP) (If available while applying)

All mandatory documents must be submitted for verification during the admission process. An undertaking for pending original documents unavailable currently [applicable only for candidates writing / passing their exam in March – June 2020], must be submitted to the Office of Admissions. These documents must be submitted on or before July 15, 2020. Failure to submit the pending documents will be treated as unsuccessful in the qualifying examination or considered “Not Eligible” and admission will be terminated from CHRIST (Deemed to be University) without any claim.

All admitted students must open an account at South Indian Bank, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Branch as part of the admission process and must carry relevant ID proof (Aadhar Card and Pan Card). The University ID card is a smart card, which is both an ID cum ATM card with a chip containing the student personal details. All transactions within the University campus after commencement of classes, including fee payment will be processed only through this card. It is also an access card for Library and other restricted places.

Selected candidates who fall under International student category (ISC) should register with the Foreigner Regional Registration Officer (FRRO / FRO) of the Local Police in Bengaluru, India within 14 working days from the date of admission or arriving in Bengaluru.

The date of commencement of the academic Year 2021 - 2022 will be intimated during the admission process.

Please note:

  1. The University does not collect any type of capitation / donation other than the fees mentioned in the website.
  2. ICHRIST (Deemed to be University) does not authorize any Third Party / Agents / Person to apply / offer admission on its behalf. CHRIST (Deemed to be University) will not be responsible for applicants being misguided by such individuals / SMS / Email.
  3. All those admitted to the programme will have to purchase a laptop at their own cost, if required by the department.
  4. Admitted students who wish to avail bank loan will be provided a recommendation letter on request by presenting the original fee paid receipt to the Office of Admissions.
  5. The decision of the admission committee is final and binding.

All applicants using online mode must visit the online application page.  Register by entering your NAME (as printed on Class 10 Marks Card) EMAIL-ID and set password.  (The email id and mobile number provided will be used for sending confirmation and application status-update messages).

Guidelines to applicants:

  • To fill the application you must have a copy of statement of marks of Class 10, Class 11 or 12 (whichever is available) (Mandatory).
  • bFill-in all the details in the “detailed application” page. Scan and upload recent passport size photograph (3.5 cms x 4.5 cms formal dress with white background) and click “Submit”. On clicking Submit, a viewable and editable page will appear on screen. In case you need to make any corrections; you may edit the data/details and then click “Confirm Submission”.
  • Application registration fee may be paid through Credit / Debit Card / Net banking facility (for online applicants only).
  • Choose the payment option and fill-in the required details to process the “Application processing fee”. The application will be submitted online after payment of application processing fee.
  • After the payment is successful you will receive the application number with the option to print your application form.
  • Print and sign the application form. Keep a copy of the application form for further reference and to produce at the time of selection process.

Candidates must send the filled in application with the following documents mentioned below in an A4 size envelope only. Candidates must mark the [PROGRAMME APPLIED FOR] Admissions 2021 – [APPLICATION NO] on the top left hand corner of the A4 size envelope for faster processing of application form.

  1.  Copy of the original filled-in printed application form duly signed by the parent / guardian and the candidate (Mandatory).
  2. Copy of the application processing fee online payment acknowledgment slip (Mandatory).
  3. Copy of Statement of marks of Class 10 and Class 11 / 12 (Mandatory).
  4. Copy of Transfer Certificate from last qualified Institution (Class 12) (If available while applying).
  5. Copy of Migration Certificate from last qualified Institution (Class 12) for all candidates except for Maharashtra State Board (If available while applying).
  6. Candidates falling under any of these categories (NRI / PIO / OCI / SAARC / AFRICA / ASEAN / OTHER FOREIGN NATIONALS) have to submit:
  •  Copy of Passport and Visa Details (Mandatory).    
  •   Candidates applying under PIO or OCI have to produce the copy of PIO or OCI card whichever is  applicable (Mandatory).

Candidates, who are unable to print the application form due to system / power / internet failure, may log on to the “Application Status” link and enter your email id, password and captcha details to view and print the application form.

Office of Admissions will verify the application form only after receiving the printed application form along with ALL the supporting documents. Selection Process e-admit card will not be uploaded if the supporting documents do not reach the Office of Admissions within the stipulated date and time. The selection process E-Admit card will be generated 3-5 days prior to the scheduled selection process date.

Basic eligibility for the programme is a pass at the +2 level (Maharashtra HSC / ISC / CBSE / NIOS / State Boards) in any stream (Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce & Management, Sciences) from any recognised Board in India.

  • Candidates writing the +2 examinations in March-May 2021 may apply with their class X and XI marks.
  • Students pursuing International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations:
  • Applicants pursuing IB curriculum must have 3 HL and 3 SL with 24 credits.
  • Applicants pursuing GCE / Edexcel must have a minimum of 3 A levels grade not less than C.

Time of Payment: All the candidates have to pay the I Year fee immediately after confirmation of the admission. II & III Year fee must be remitted before the commencement of final examinations of II and IV Semesters respectively.








It is to be noted that though the fee is fixed for three years, there may be a periodic nominal increase to meet the rise in costs.

1. Indian nationals pursuing international curriculum in India will pay the fee applicable for NRI status for the first year (UG / PG / MPhil /Ph.D. Programme has to be approved by UGC / AIU).

(The above condition is not applicable to NRI and candidates applied under NRI Category).

2. NRI fee is applicable for the full duration of the programme for candidates who;

  • Have pursued and completed their last qualifying exam from outside India.
  • Are NRI and candidates who have applied under the NRI category.

3. To claim Indian category fee, the candidates should have studied last 7 years in India. (Not applicable for OCI, PIO, and Foreign Nationals).

4. Admission registration fee of INR 5000/- is non-refundable in the event of cancellation of admission. This fee will be apart from cancellation charges if any applicable.             

5. All Candidates If “Selected” after appearing for the final selection process, The fee may be paid through the following option:

  •  Payment can be made through Net banking / NEFT / RTGS
  •  Payment / Transfer of fees does not guarantee admission.
